As the Weather Gets Nicer, Students Forget Rules!

Do you think it’s fair that different grades at the same school have different dress codes? Well I don’t!
Some students at Wyandot Middle School are allowed to wear short shorts, like “Soffee” shorts. In 8th grade, if you wear shorts like that you would get reprimanded because the shorts are too short according to dress code. The 8th grade teachers would also make you change. I believe that this is unfair and I think that everyone should have the same dress code.
According to our dress code all shorts and skirts must be past your fingers, when your hands are by your sides. So, the students who are allowed to wear short shorts that aren’t past their finger tips are breaking the dress code rules.
After interviewing my good friend Meghan she also said that she agrees with me that it’s not fair! Ms. Martin said that she believes “teachers should all be on the same page, making sure that students are dressed appropriately for school.” Hopefully the rules change sooner or later and like Ms. Martin said teachers get on the same page.
As I have said before, I believe this is unfair and I think that everyone should either be able to wear short shorts such as “Soffee” shorts or nobody should be able to wear them. That way everyone has the same dress code, instead of letting some student wear certain things while others can’t.
