Kids in the Forest?
Preschoolers in the forest? Correct, there classroom is held outside.
It’s a four day schooling program with only three hours a day. Why did they do this? Well, parents believe that there kids are not outside enough to enjoy nature. Kenny has changed that. It was her plan to open up this outside school.
This school believes that kids shouldn’t be forced to learn complicated subjects like math or language arts. She believes kids should learn more about environmental science instead. It might be a brand new exciting idea but there’s a price to it. Kenny charges $100 a month for one day program, $200 for two days a month, and $300 for a month but for three days.
The classroom is like a camp. It has three cabins; one of them is a library. Another is for storing the equipment. The last cabin is held for children going to the bathroom. They have a spot for a campfire and they’re trying to make a spot for a kitchen in the forest too! There are two open schools like this so far. Kenny hopes to create these outside schools throughout the world to, eventually.
