On May 24, 2010 American metal band Slipknot lost their bass player Paul Gray at the age of 38, in a Town Plaza hotel in Urbandale, Iowa. The reason for his death is unknown; police have no evidence of foul play, they are still investigating. The autopsy for Paul Gray is to be scheduled on May 25, 2010. He was excepting his first child with his wife Brenna before he died.
Paul Gray was an original member of the group, when they formed in 1995. His nickname for the band was #2 or The Pig. He was born in Los Angeles, California but then moved to Des Moines, Iowa when he was young. Before the band Slipknot, he was in bands such as Vexx, Body Pit, and Inviegh Catharsi.
The autopsy shows no reason for death, but the toxicology is still on its way. The 911 call said that a bottle of pills and a syringe was found next to him.
